Track / Drift Day on The LS Auto Nitto Tire S13.5
Kevin Wells at LS Auto / CFR is making a couple of tabs on Golden Eagle‘s prototype of the intake manifold for the S13.5. Once the fuel rail was aligned, he fabricated the throttle body bracket, and the custom throttle body while Sergio Ramirez at CFR made the battery bracket. Once everything was complete, we met up at Apexi the following day to tune the stock sr on the dyno pak. Thanks for the tune Kevin! I appreciate Chuck Griffice, Masaki Nakayama, Jun, Suzy, Adrian, Keith, and the entire Apexi team for their support!
Soon we will be running a fully built motor thanks to Speed-O-Motive. It should be pushing 450+ WHP with an upgraded turbo.
On July 31st, Saturday, Jay Joo @ 29Frame and I hit the road to W.S.I.R. early in the morning. Jay and Mira from 29Frame are documenting of my life and drifting/racing in the US of A. It will be in theatres in South Korea some time next year. I’ll keep you updated.
Arrived Willow Spring International Raceway for the Extreme Speed Track Events. Registered and got my time transponder. There were about 35+ drivers at this event.
Unloaded everything out of the truck to organize and prep the vehicle. My friends were there early to help set-up our pit area! Thanks for setting up the Contour HD Camcorder Kevin Lee @ Nexus Visuals!
My crew chief, Brian Benson, talking with Kevin Wells to let him know that all is going well at the track. Gave ride-alongs to share the joy and a great driving experience.
Got the best lap time of 1:35.173 on Streets of Willow.
Met good fans in all sizes and ages.
10 year old Austin Karr got an opportunity to sit and experience what it feels like to be a driver. He had so much fun that he and his family ended up hanging out with us in our pit area for the rest of the day.
Awesome fans since 2007! Thank you so much for all of your support Guys!
Thanks for the ACT gloves and hats Daniel Starksen!
Once the event ended, I got invited to drift on Horse Thief Mile’s track with R.A.D. Experience track events. The event ended at 11pm so I had plenty of time to smoke up those amazing Nitto NT05’s on track!
The grassroot drivers and the photographers loved it! I gave out hero cards and appreciated everyone’s support! Even one of the drivers (Carlo Jacinto) allowed me to borrow his own fuel rail off his car so that I can run my S13.5! It’s great to meet friends that have such an amazing character and personality.
I’ll be at Hollywood Park this Sat-Sun August 7th-8th for the Gymkhana Grid event with the S13.5. Please feel free to join. Thank you all for your support!
